OUTREACH
The Big Picture
With each event we put on, thousands of non-perishable food items are raised and donated to local food banks. A large part of what we emphasize at Kicking4Hunger is local sustainability. Our twist on local sustainability is this: we put on events in your area that generate non-perishable food items from those who are able to give, and then we redirect these donations back into your community to help those in need.

It is our hope that one day the Kicking4Hunger experience will be implemented all across the globe. With our help, individuals will be able to empower their communities to help themselves through the game of soccer, by means of the simple exchange of non-perishable food items in return for a valuable soccer experience. We hope to assist communities in their endeavors as they use the Kicking4Hunger model by providing the necessary guidance and resources to pull off a successful venture. With your hard work, together we can turn Kicking4Hunger into a symbol of hope worldwide.

Our Vision for Growth
Based on the tremendous success and feedback from the original Kicking4Hunger site in Midland, North Carolina beginning in the summer of 2006, we have decided to spread this success throughout the state beginning in the summer of 2011. It is our hope that Kicking4Hunger can begin to build communities not only throughout the entire state, but to spread beyond state lines to the rest of the nation and to the world.

This is our dream:

By 2013, Kicking4Hunger will be hosting recurring camps in multiple areas throughout North Carolina.

By 2014 Kicking4Hunger will start movements in other states around the United States, instituting a replication of the model and success as seen in North Carolina.

By 2016, Kicking4Hunger will implement a global outreach program that involves supplying those in need with the means to fight hunger and play soccer.

In addition to redirecting food back into your community to those in need, Kicking4Hunger also intends to set aside a portion of food raised from each camp and/or clinic to benefit low-income areas throughout the state that are without food banks or charities. This will be accomplished by means of establishing relationships with such communities, including churches, YMCAs, and community centers, where we can coordinate a method to distribute food to those who do not necessarily have the means to obtain it.
