FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
'Our community is very fortunate to have young people such as you to serve as excellent role models for those even younger.'
- Barry Porter, Cooperative Christian Ministries, 2007
What does my camper need to bring to camp?
A completed Release Document, a soccer ball, soccer cleats, shin guards, sun screen, a water bottle, and, if possible, non-perishable food items.
Is there a required number of non-perishable food items that my child needs to bring for each camp?
No. We encourage campers to bring as many non-perishable food items to camp as possible. In the past years, campers have brought an average of five items per day. However, it is up to the individual camper and his or her family to decide on what they are able to contribute.
What if my child shows up to camp without canned goods?
They will still be able to participate! Donations are encouraged, but not required. Any child in the appropriate age range may attend regardless of how many, if any, non-perishable food items they bring as long as he or she is registered for the camp.
What equipment is required?
We encourage campers to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, a soccer ball (if he or she owns one), shin guards, and cleats. If your child does not own cleats, athletic shoes are an appropriate substitute.
If my child is below the specified age range can they participate?
No, we are sorry that we are unable to accept your child’s registration. We want to ensure the safety of all campers and volunteers, so we impose age restrictions as specified on the individual camp and/or clinic’s sign-up page. However, we would love to see your child come out when he or she is of the specified age!
If my child is too old to participate in camps, can he or she help as a coach?
Yes, tell them to fill out an application! They should look at the “Become a Coach” section in the “How to Help” tab in our website. However, we do ask that coaches either at least be entering or attending high school.
Is water provided at camp?
Yes. We provide campers with water and take frequent breaks to ensure that campers stay strong and hydrated. We highly encourage campers to bring their own water bottles as well.
Do I need to get a physical for my child?
By signing our agreement during registration, you are certifying that your camper is healthy and able to participate. We have a section on every registration form that you can use to describe any medical conditions or restrictions of which we need to be made aware.
